The Great Big Book Bench 2022

Funded by Wiltshire Council and The Rotary Foundation

This project will raise awareness of the importance of reading and its power to change children’s lives.  It will help people to get out and explore the city and all it has to offer.

The collaboration between Salisbury Rotary Club and Salisbury Library is inspired by the centenary of the Rotary Club and will honour this milestone, celebrating a social connection across the city by working with eight schools in Salisbury. The schools were asked to take part in this very special project which focuses on giving opportunities to children who may not normally get the chance to explore painting and drawing whilst working with professional artists.
